Ok, confession time. Last year I bought an entire book series because I could not get over how beautiful the covers were. Yup. I was THAT person. We all have done it. Then, of course, they sat on my shelf for a year, being beautiful.

There is also two novellas that were released into one bound book:
Several times I took them out just to look at the covers, then put them back, and never found time to read them, until I did.
Once I picked up the series, I was a goner. I finished the first book, Shatter Me, in a few days, pretty standard pace for me. It was good, did not blow my mind out of the water, but definitely good enough to continue reading the series. It took a few weeks, but then I got around to starting the second book, Unravel Me, which I finished in less than a day. I immediately picked up Ignite Me, the third book and finished that in another day, as well as the two novellas that go with the series.
What blew my mind about these books was the character development built and built and was done so smoothly you felt like you were growing with the characters. The development was so complex on so many levels that it baffled me. Then you add in how completely seamless the development was, and I was turning pages faster than I could read them.
The story itself was awesome too. Dystopian, set sometime in the future. I don’t like comparing books to each other, because they are all completely different, but think in the realm of Hunger Games or Divergent. The fast pace of the books, action, love story (of course!) and character development makes this YA series a force to be reckoned with. It is unique, smooth, and a really fun read.
Now, of course, I am kicking myself for waiting so long to read this series. There is actually a fourth book scheduled to come out in 2018 called Restore Me, and let me tell you, I will be purchasing and reading that book the day it comes out!
If you are interested in buying the set you can purchase them all together here to save some money.
